"Psalm 20" is the eighth sermon in this series. Psalm 20 is a pre-battle song and prayer. David is asking his people to go to God on his behalf and pray for victory. What we see is a Psalm that highlights the willingness of God to help His people. We see a people who want to make sacrifices and offerings to their God who protects them. In the end we see a people who understand their utter reliance and dependence on their Lord in Heaven.

"Psalm 24" is the seventh sermon in this series. Our hope rests in our King. The Jews began singing the 24th psalm every Sunday during their Babylonian captivity. They began their week by singing to worship and acknowledge their Creator, as well as anticipate their Messiah. As we sing it and study it, we see the advent of our Creator King to come on a rescue mission as a humble infant.

"Psalm 146" is the sixth sermon in this series. Psalm 146 is a reminder of the source of our joy. Scripture reminds us that our Christ leaves us in an emotional state rooted in His grace and sustained by the Holy Spirit.

"Psalm 72" is the fifth sermon in this series. Psalm 72 is a coronation song for the kings of Israel. As we celebrate the advent of our heavenly King, we acknowledge that He is on the thrown and He will be until His second advent and on into eternity.

"Psalm 122" is the fourth sermon in this series. Psalm 122 is a psalm of ascent that Israelites would sing on their way up to Jerusalem for annual feasts. The psalm expresses the joy they had at the opportunity to travel to God’s presence and we reflect on the advent reality that our God has now traveled to us.

"Dad Life" is the twelfth sermon in this series. Paul referred to himself as a father to the Corinthians in a spiritual sense. Being a spiritual father conveyed deep care and concern which led to discipline as well as encouragement.

"Reality Check" is the eleventh sermon in this series. The Corinthians were born again Christians, but longed to live like kings. Their pride produced much of the division within their church and their judgement of one another hurt the ministry. Paul reminds them of the apostles’ suffering so that they could rightfully view themselves as kingdom servants instead of haughty rulers.

"The Wisdom of Fools" is the tenth sermon in this series. We are faced with the reality of our own depravity and our own foolishness. With the realization of our inability, we refocus our eyes on God’s ability. When we rest in our belonging in Christ, we live in completion of redemption.
