"Blueprints" is the ninth sermon in this series. Paul reminds the Christ follower of our foundation. It is in Christ alone that we stand and that we labor. As His temple, where He dwells, we must be grounded, firmly planted on an unmovable foundation, exalting the Lord's name and nature.
"Playing Favorites" is the eighth sermon in this series. In their immaturity, the Corinthian believers loved to argue over their favorite preachers. Rivalries were created between followers of Paul or Apollos or others. Paul writes to them and calls them out for their division, urging them to place their allegiance in Christ alone.
"Mind of Christ" is the seventh sermon in this series. In this sermon, Paul closes out chapter two by reminding the church that it is impossible to understand spiritual things without The Spirit of God. Paul also exhorts the church to think with the mind of Christ, that He has freely given to every believer. With this new mind, we see the world in a different light.
"Hidden Wisdom" is the sixth sermon in this series. Heaven’s wisdom has been hidden from the world but revealed to us through the Spirit. Our trinitarian God is at work in us to mature us and use us for His glory. The wisdom revealed to us and through us is centered and grounded in the gospel.
"#SermonGoals" is the fifth sermon in this series. Paul continues with his theme to the Corinthian Church that Christ and His gospel is all the wisdom and power they could ever hope for. With this message at the center of their mission, they can rest in Christ’s work and not worry over their own division.
"Bragging Rights" is the fourth sermon in this series. The essence of the gospel dispels pride and leaves us room for boasting in Christ alone (not ourselves). When we boast in Christ, others hear about Christ and the kingdom grows. Daily we must remind ourselves that we cannot brag on ourselves and we must take opportunities to brag on our Lord.
x"More Than Enough" is the third sermon in this series. The gospel is all sufficient. Other benefits obviously flow out of the gospel’s influence in our lives but the gospel that Paul preached to the Corinthians was the total package. The gospel gave them all the wisdom they would ever need as well as all the power they would ever need.
"Popularity Contest" is the second sermon in this series. In this passage, Paul tells the Corinthian church the purpose of his letter. He is writing to address the division that exists in the church at Corinth and he exhorts them to be united in their gospel mission.
